PM Modi to discuss with the CM of the states today on extending the lockdown period
Prime Minister Narendra Modi will hold talks with Chief Ministers of all states on Saturday through video conferencing for the 21-day lockdown. During this time there may be discussion on extending or ending the lockdown period ending next week.
According to the Ministry of Health, the death toll due to corona virus in India has increased to 199, while the total number of corona virus positive cases has reached 6,412.
It is believed that in the video conference, the central government may signal to carry forward the lockdown issued across the country before April 14. With this, many states have appealed to increase the lockdown, given the spread of several corona viruses.
While addressing the leaders of parliaments and other parties on Wednesday, Prime Minister Modi made it clear that the lockdown cannot be lifted simultaneously on 14 April.
He said that the priority of his government is to save the life of every person. According to the official statement, PM Modi said that the states, district administration and experts have tried to stop the spread of the virus.
